Artemis Fowl is mad.
As his mother yowled in the attic, Artemis spied on Them planting Their cameras behind Uncle Arthur’s portrait frame. Uncle Arthur gave good advice, like ‘watch out for the frozen Christmas cherry blossom!’ so Artemis knew he was also mad.
Insanity runs in his family.
Others were madder, though, sending him photos of Their mottled green hands. And so Artemis decided to stop being mad.
Holly was pretty in his photographs, but screamed like Mother on his laboratory table.
He said, as he published his evidence, a boy no longer mad: “I don’t believe in fairies.” |
